The Science of Biology in Everyday Living

As Biology is a natural science that deals with life and living organisms, from their anatomy, physiology, cellular structure, and genetics, and likewise involving more extensive areas of expertise such as ecology and evolution, gaining an in-depth understanding of this subject can only serve to be advantageous.  Its practicality most certainly possesses the characteristics to manifest its importance outside of the confines of an academic institution, and into our everyday existence.

Through this course, I aspire to learn of the complexities surrounding life itself.  Grey areas on the cellular level on what exactly happens and how do cells assimilate or mutate its form into an entirely new entity, will be topics that are of utmost interest for me.  Likewise, areas explaining the principles surrounding heredity and the very genetics of a species are topics that have always been a fascination.

Through this course which I am about to embark upon, I am certain that a portion of lifes mysteries will be answered.  I will be benefited with the knowledge of understanding the causes and the effects of certain conditions that living organisms exhibit anatomically, physiologically, and genetically, such as the automatic reactions of an individual to a given stimulus, i.e., hormonal changes that are associated with emotions such as in ecstasy and depression, how evolution passes on to succeeding generations certain qualities that increase the chances of the species survival, and others.

By having an educated understanding on the science of Biology, I will have the knowledge to understand the reasons for the actions and manifestations of certain qualities in the cellular level, anatomical, physiological, and the general complexity of lifes diversity on our planet.  Biology will erase the blinders of perception and allow me to view life in all its magnificence.
