Waterborne illness and treatments.

Waterborne illness 2
Majority of the non urban areas are susceptible to be dirty because of the urban run-off. Their repercussions can prove to be lethal. It is due to the presence of several pathogens which makes the water adulterated. As a result the couple can end up catching pernicious diseases like gastroenteritis followed by primary amebic meningoencephalitis caused by Nigeria fowleri. (Jonathan S, 2002, p.1-2)

These diseases claim the maximum victims. In addition to this Pontiac fever associated with a spa was reported to CDC, acute respiratory illness associated with chemical exposure at pools, toxigenic Escherichia coli and norovirus in freshwater venues can make the health of a person rickety. Some of the common symptoms of these diseases are vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, fever, cough, eye redness, phlegm, ear pain etc. (Ryan H Dwight, 2004, p.565)

Diseases such as trachoma and scabies are caused due to improper maintenance of hygiene. But there are a lot of other water related diseases which are common yet there isnt a lot of information available about them. These include Scabies, Dengue, Filarias, Malaria, Japanese encephalitis, Leishmaniasi, Onchocercias, Yellow fever, Impetigo. (David Kay, 2002, p-568)

There are many methods that can be employed to purify the water. There is one tool that they can use as a filter. It is a Bra or Brassiere. The pores of a bra can help in filtering the impurities present in the water. But it cannot be regarded as a scientific approach to purify the water. Therefore the most common method to purify water is to make use of chlorine tablets. As chlorine tablets can get rid of a number of pathogens and impurities from the water.  The process can be termed as chlorination.
